olympics in china.

In 2008 the olympics were in beijin(china).
Olympians from all around the world competed in the olympics. new events were held, including two from the new cycling discipline of BMX. Women competed in the 3000 metre steeplechase for the first time. Lots of people competed in these 2 games.  Here are 31 sport which people competed in:

North east

In the north east there are plenty of attractions like the angel of the north,st james park,Alnwick gardens and more.

For a family day out you can go to the blue reef aquarium(tynemouth),ocean pleasure beach(southshields),wet'n'wild(north shields),Wacky warehouse,magic lantern(north shields),St mary's lighthouse(whitley bay), whitley bay ice rink, star bowl (north shields),saltwell park(gateshead)  and more.

you could go out for a meal with you family at restraunts that have just been opened or older restraunts.The foods great.

A relaxing night in watching the tele in a nice hotel. or go to the whitley bay playhouse to watch a puppet show or a play.

There are a lot  restraunts or a takeaway near you.
lots of shops to get your shopping when you need it bad. The north east of england is made of tyne and wear,northumberland, county duram and yorkshire.

What is life like in china?
